11 Ubersuggest Alternatives for 2026, Sorted by the Job They Replace

Stacks of printed comparison sheets on an oak desk beside the headline on Ubersuggest alternatives

The right Ubersuggest alternative depends on which of its five jobs you actually rely on: keyword research, site audit, rank tracking, backlink data, or the newer AI Search Visibility module. This list sorts 11 tools by that job, and every price below was checked on the vendor's own pricing page in September 2026.

Unlike the Ahrefs, Moz and Semrush guides on this blog, this is not a flat ranking: each tool is filed under the Ubersuggest function it can take over, so you can swap one module or the whole subscription.

Why Are People Looking for an Ubersuggest Alternative in 2026?

Ubersuggest is cheap, and that is exactly why the ceilings show up fast. The four complaints below come from the current pricing page, public review platforms and hands-on 2026 tests, not from opinions about the interface.

  • Daily search caps. The $29 Individual plan allows 150 searches a day and 1,000 page scans per project. Extra capacity is sold as add-ons at +$5/month each (an additional 500 daily searches, or another project with 125 keywords and 3 competitors), per app.neilpatel.com.
  • AI visibility runs on a slow clock. AI prompts are checked "monthly" on Individual, "biweekly" on Business and "weekly" on Enterprise, and Google AI Overview data is listed only on the $99 Enterprise tier. If you want to know what ChatGPT said about your brand yesterday, the module cannot tell you.
  • No API and a non-refundable lifetime deal. The pricing FAQ states "We don't have any API access plans available at the moment" and "Lifetime plan purchases are final and non-refundable."
  • Data accuracy doubts. On Trustpilot, neilpatel.com holds 4.3/5 across 626 reviews, but 10% are one-star, and the recurring themes in those are misleading metrics and refund disputes. A four-month test by Hack'celeration (2026) saw Ubersuggest estimate 4,500 monthly visits for a site whose Google Analytics showed 6,200, a 38% gap, and found its backlink index caught roughly 60–70% of the links Ahrefs reported.

There is also a bigger reason that has nothing to do with Ubersuggest specifically. Pew Research tracked 900 U.S. adults in March 2025 and found that 18% of their Google searches produced an AI summary, and that users clicked a traditional result on only 8% of those visits versus 15% when no summary appeared. A keyword tool that reports Google volume and position alone is measuring a shrinking share of the answers your buyers actually read.

Which Ubersuggest Alternative Replaces Keyword Research?

Keyword research is the module most people came to Ubersuggest for, so it gets four candidates: a premium database on a $29 plan, a direct budget rival, a browser extension and a free source of truth.

Ahrefs Starter and Lite: replaces keyword research and competitor keyword gaps

The Ahrefs pricing page lists a $29/month Starter plan described as "See what people search and spy on competitors," the same entry price as Ubersuggest Individual. The full Lite plan is $129/month with 5 projects, 750 tracked keywords and 100,000 crawl credits.

  • Best for: anyone whose main complaint is data quality rather than price.
  • Watch out: Starter is a scoped-down product, and Lite is 4.4× the Ubersuggest Individual price.

Mangools (KWFinder): replaces keyword research at a similar budget

Mangools bundles KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler. In September 2026 its pricing page shows Basic at $37.70/month on annual billing ($452.40/year) with 100 keyword lookups per 24 hours, 200 tracked keywords, weekly rank updates and 100k backlink rows a month; Premium is $52.70/month annual with 500 lookups and 700 tracked keywords. A free account gets 5 lookups per 24 hours, and the bundle now includes an "AI Search Watcher PRO" with 500 monitored prompts.

Kairosy's scan of Mangools (August 5, 2026) scored the brand 57/100, "At risk," with ChatGPT at 44 and Perplexity at 66. Claude's answer named the main complaint verbatim: "Daily usage limits – The Basic plan's 100 keyword lookups per day can be exhausted quickly." If daily caps are why you are leaving, read that lookup number before you switch.

Keywords Everywhere: replaces volume lookups inside your browser

Keywords Everywhere is a browser extension that overlays volume, CPC, competition and a 12-month trend on the pages you already search from. Its subscription page prices Bronze at $84/year for 100,000 credits, where "One credit gets you the volume, cpc, competition & 12 month trend data for one keyword." That works out to roughly 274 keywords a day for $7/month, and the credits are pooled per year rather than capped per day.

  • Best for: writers and consultants who research inside the SERP rather than in a dashboard.
  • Watch out: no site audit, no rank tracking, no backlinks.

Google Keyword Planner and Search Console: replaces volume and query data for free

Google calls Keyword Planner "a free resource to help advertisers build keyword lists" and notes you first need a Google Ads account with a campaign. Pair it with Search Console, which shows "which queries bring users to your site" with impressions, clicks and position. Together they replace the volume and rank-check habits of a solo site owner at $0, with the caveat that Keyword Planner is built for ad planning, not organic research.

Which Tools Replace the Ubersuggest Site Audit?

The Ubersuggest audit is capped by page scans per project (1,000 on Individual). Both replacements below crawl more, for free.

Screaming Frog SEO Spider: replaces the site audit (free to 500 URLs)

The desktop crawler's pricing page lists a free version with a "Crawl Limit - 500 URLs" and a paid licence at £199 per year that lifts the limit to unlimited (subject to your machine's memory). Broken links, metadata, hreflang, JavaScript rendering and XML sitemap checks are in both versions.

  • Best for: technical audits where you want raw crawl data, not a health score.
  • Watch out: it is a desktop crawler with no hosted dashboard, and it does not check how AI crawlers see your pages. Kairosy's free AI crawl checker and schema markup checker cover those two gaps.

Ahrefs Webmaster Tools: replaces the site audit for verified sites, free

Ahrefs Webmaster Tools gives verified websites a Site Audit that scans "170+ common technical & on-page SEO issues" with "5K crawl credits/month per project," plus Site Explorer data on your own domain with "1K backlinks & keywords visible at once." You can add an unlimited number of verified sites.

Ubersuggest tracks 125 keywords per project on the entry plan, with weekly updates according to reviewers. The three tools here either update daily or keep a far larger link index.

SE Ranking: replaces rank tracking with daily updates

SE Ranking's Core plan is $129/month, or $103.20/month billed annually, for 2,000 keywords tracked daily across 10 projects and 250,000 crawled pages a month. An AI Search add-on at $89/month adds AI Overviews, AI Mode, Perplexity and ChatGPT tracking.

Kairosy's scan of SE Ranking (August 5, 2026) rated it 64/100, with ChatGPT at 74 but Perplexity at 52, and AI engines most often named Semrush, Serpstat and Ahrefs as the rivals. That split is a reminder that reputation varies by engine, which a Google-only tool never surfaces.

Semrush: replaces the entire Ubersuggest stack in one subscription

Semrush's SEO plan costs $139/month ($117.33/month annual) with 5 websites and 500 keywords tracked daily. The $199/month Starter tier adds 50 AI-visibility prompts and 300 AI visibility reports a day. It replaces keyword research, site audit, rank tracking and backlinks together, at roughly five times the Ubersuggest Individual price.

  • Best for: teams that outgrew Ubersuggest's project and user limits (Semrush Pro+ is 15 websites at $299/month).
  • Watch out: you pay for the whole suite even if you only wanted rank tracking.

Majestic Lite is $49.99/month (or $499.99/year) for 1 user, "1 million analysis units" and 5,000 Site Explorer rows, with a 7-day money-back guarantee for new customers. It is a link index and nothing else, which is precisely the module reviewers flag as thinnest in Ubersuggest.

Where Do Content Ideas Come From Without Ubersuggest?

The Ubersuggest Content Ideas tab lists pages that already rank for a keyword. The tool below approaches ideas from the question side, which is also how AI assistants phrase their answers.

AlsoAsked: replaces the Content Ideas tab with People Also Ask trees

AlsoAsked maps the "People also asked" questions under a seed query into a branching tree. Its pricing as of September 2026 is Basic $12/month for 100 credits, Lite $23/month for 300 credits and Pro $47/month for 1,000 credits, each 20% cheaper on annual billing. Keywords Everywhere (above) also adds a People Also Search For widget, so the two together cover most of what Content Ideas did.

Which Ubersuggest Alternative Covers AI Visibility on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini?

This is the module where Ubersuggest is weakest and where the honest answer is a different category of tool. Its AI Search Visibility checks 10 prompts per project once a month on the $29 plan; the replacement here checks daily.

Kairosy: replaces AI Search Visibility with daily prompt monitoring across four engines

Kairosy is an AI visibility and reputation scanner, not a keyword tool, so it replaces exactly one Ubersuggest module and none of the others. Inside that module it goes further:

  • Engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude are all queried; the headline 0–100 score averages the per-engine scores of the engines that answered.
  • Citation tracking: every answer carries the real URLs the engine cited, so you see which pages feed the answer and which competitor domains keep showing up.
  • Brand sentiment: each answer is classified positive, neutral or negative with the reasons, and a weekly alert fires when an engine flips sentiment or a new negative keyword appears.
  • AI share of voice: the Competitors module reports your share of mentions against the rivals engines name, plus the topic gaps where they are recommended and you are not (see how AI share of voice is measured).
  • Daily prompt tracking: tracked prompts are checked every day on every paid plan (15 on Basic, 28 on Pro, 70 on Growth), and each tracking slot (a brand in one market) is re-scanned every Monday with an email digest.

Pricing is $29 (Basic), $99 (Pro) and $399 (Growth) per month with 3, 6 and 20 tracking slots; Enterprise is talk-to-sales. Signup is a 7-day free trial with no credit card and full reports. Paid plans scan Global plus 25 countries, and the AI-Ready Page Audit runs 33 checks across access, readability, structured data, citability and trust.

  • Best for: brands whose buyers ask assistants for recommendations and need to know what those answers say today, not this quarter.
  • Watch out: no keyword volumes, no crawler, no backlink index; keep one of the tools above for classic SEO.

If you would rather keep one login, Semrush Starter ($199/month, 50 prompts), the SE Ranking AI Search add-on ($89/month) and the Mangools bundle's AI Search Watcher (500 prompts) also track AI answers next to Google rankings.

How Do the Ubersuggest Alternatives Compare on Price?

How Should You Choose an Ubersuggest Alternative?

Start from the module that made you search for an Ubersuggest alternative in the first place, then check three things before paying.

  1. Which limit did you hit? Daily searches point to Keywords Everywhere or Ahrefs Starter. Page scans point to Screaming Frog or Ahrefs Webmaster Tools. Prompt cadence points to Kairosy.
  2. How many sites and seats? Ubersuggest Business gives 7 projects and 2 users for $49. Only Semrush, SE Ranking and Ahrefs Lite scale past that cleanly, and all three cost $129 or more.
  3. Do you need the data yesterday or this month? Rank trackers on this list update daily. Ubersuggest's AI prompts update monthly on the entry plan, so if the assistant answer matters to revenue, budget for a daily monitor separately.

A realistic budget stack for a solo site owner in 2026: Search Console and Keyword Planner for free, Screaming Frog free for crawls, and either Keywords Everywhere ($84/year) or Kairosy Basic ($29/month) depending on whether volume data or AI answers is the bigger blind spot.

Ubersuggest Alternative FAQs

Is there a completely free Ubersuggest alternative?

Yes, for three of the five functions. Google Keyword Planner and Search Console cover volume and rankings, Screaming Frog crawls up to 500 URLs free, and Ahrefs Webmaster Tools audits verified sites with 5K crawl credits a month. Backlink depth and AI answer tracking are free only during trials (Kairosy's is 7 days, no card).

What is the cheapest Ubersuggest alternative for keyword research?

Keywords Everywhere at $84/year for 100,000 credits is the lowest paid entry on this list, followed by Ahrefs Starter at $29/month. Both prices were checked in September 2026.

Does Ubersuggest track ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?

Partly. Its pricing page lists "ChatGPT and Gemini in Keyword Research" on the $29 and $49 plans and adds Google AI Overview on the $99 Enterprise plan, with AI prompts checked monthly, biweekly or weekly by tier. Perplexity is not named on the plan cards, and no plan checks daily.

Can I replace Ubersuggest with just Google's free tools?

For a single site with modest research needs, yes. You lose competitor keyword gaps, backlinks and any view of AI assistants, but you gain first-party click and impression data no third-party estimate can match.

Which Ubersuggest alternative is best for an agency?

Semrush Pro+ (15 websites, $299/month) or SE Ranking Growth (30 projects, $279/month) for classic SEO reporting, and Kairosy Growth (60 tracking slots, 350 daily prompts) if clients ask what ChatGPT and Perplexity say about them.

Is the Ubersuggest lifetime plan a safer bet than switching?

Only if you are sure the limits fit. The vendor's FAQ says lifetime purchases are "final and non-refundable" and itself recommends using the 7-day trial first, so run the trial against your real weekly workload before committing.
